Am I reading this headline right……eh? Yes you are.

The current DC story arc Trinity War (featuring three teams of heroes duking it out) is going to have some epic backlash (some of which has already been spoiled) and fallout. One of which is having the current Justice League of America move to Canada.

DC Writer/Artist (and Toronto resident) Jeff Lemire states, “without spoiling any of that story, there will be major changes in the Justice Leagues, and in the spring, the current Justice League of America team goes through a dramatic change and some of the pieces that are left behind will evolve into this new Justice League Canada team.”

And for those wondering about if a fictional city will be created to place the new JLC, wonder no more, for Jeff Lemire notes, “It really is just trying to make an honest portrayal of the places, and the country, and people that I know. That’s why I’m setting it in Toronto and Northern Ontario, because those are the places that I really know well,”

To those worried about the roster being full of Canadian stereotypes you can have your minds put at ease. The roster will feature a “dream team” full of A-list heroes, some obscure ones as well, and the introduction of a new Canadian hero.

On this new hero Lemire says, “I’m trying to make a character that reflects a real part of our cultural identity, who could be a real Canadian teenager.”

Also this new team will bring the reintroduction of Adam Strange, who in the New 52 will be Canadian.

So that’s something out of left field eh?…..I mean…right? What will this be like? Who will be on the team? Who will they face?

Stay tuned to TDS for updates on this and more.

In the meantime, to our fellow Canadians Kyle and Karen…SUIT UP! Your country needs you!
